Creating your romantic rustic wedding celebration

Needless to say rustic, romantic wedding have been on the upswing the past couple of years.  Blogs such as Style Me Pretty. have shown masterful works of photography with gorgeous, rustic wedding shoots that just beg every couple to find the perfect barn or weathered outpost building for their wedding or reception. There are many venues to chose from in the tri state area for a romantic rustic wedding.  The first thing the couple needs to determine his how rustic is rustic. We find that many of our  area couples want a good mix of romance with what I like to call a “hint of burlap”..  They want the feeling to be romantic and whimsical with little vintage and rustic touches along the way.  Yes there may be some burlap, but we find the burlap is often a backdrop to lace and other soft elements in flowers, greenery and table settings.

A fabulous backdrop of expose brick in the venue, soft exposed lighting, lace gown and a romantic monochromatic floral bouquet. Setting the tone for an upscale rustic wedding does require a little work.  You want to have the details but need to keep them clean and fresh looking adding personal touches along the way.  What makes a rustic wedding special are really all the unique elements and details that tie in the personalities of the couple. It could be anything from incorporating old photographs of family members in vintage frames to using skeleton keys with attached table  cards for their guests.  As a company we do find that mason jars of course are popular favor items (and we can create a number of glassware items for couples).  As a matter of fact, we were just asked to do custom hurricane lanterns for centerpieces at an upcoming wedding.    Although that wedding is not a rustic wedding theme, the idea of  custom hurricane lanterns is perfect for a rustic centerpiece.

Remember the little things and creating vignettes at your wedding.  The details could be just a small grouping with a little fence, but the carving says it all.

Wonderful little picture frames with inspirational love “sayings” inserted inside

The above wedding stationery bringing a slight bit of lace t0 add elegance and gives a little more formal feeling to the celebration. This particular product that we carry also comes boxed which is now also a very popular way of sending invitations.

The above invitation masterfully combines battenburg lace and a touch of burlap to create a unique rustic feel that can be embraced through the elements of your wedding.

Lighting plays an important part in setting the mood and romance of any wedding.  I love candlelight to add gentle element lighting to a room.  These candles above are simple and lovely and little ribbon, a little lace and this bit of DYI is perfect for a cake table or to add a few for ambiance to guest tables.
