What Styles You Should See in Veils this Season?

While you are shopping for your wedding gown, this is also a great time to think about what you might wear in your hair on your special day. Veils can be made to look classic or modern and have tons of different embellishments that can add to your wedding day look. We asked one of our good friends at Marionat to give us the inside scoop for veils this season.

Length

Cathedral Veils

It's hard to imagine wearing a cathedral length veil that can travel past your train, but cathedral veils are a top seller this year. In fact, our friends at Marionat say extra wide cathedrals are trending in Chicago Bridal Fashion. They are a beautiful addition to any gown, particularly if you plan to walk down the aisle for a church ceremony. When you try on your gown, don't be afraid to let your consultant put a cathedral veil on you. You may be surprised at how gorgeous it looks with your wedding dress.

Fingertip

Fingertip length veils are a great medium for those who aren't sure if they want a long veil or a short veil. This is always one of the most popular lengths for veils. It extends to your fingertips and can match almost any gown perfectly. According to Marionat, this is a standard length that brides continuously love. If you aren't sure about your veil, start with a fingertip and go from there.

Edging

Lace

Lace is always a top material in bridal. Be it gowns or veils, lace will always have a place in the bridal industry. This year we are seeing that lace is a top seller as edging for the veils. Particularly lace design that have a unique look. Lace embellished with flower appliques or rhinestones are the lookers this season.

3D Flower Appliques

For spring and summer, 3D flower appliques are a beautiful touch to any veil. You can have these on a cathedral length to an elbow length. Tons of flowers fluttering at the bottom of the train or have a light few scattered long the veil. Flower appliques are a delicate touch to add to any wedding style.

Blush Colored Stones

Blush and rose gold coloring is very big this season in bridal and it goes the same for veils. Brides are in love with the blush colored stones that stud the edging of the veil and adds just a little extra color into your bridal wardrobe. If you love a champagne or a butterscotch look, ask your consultant is they have any blush stone edged veils to try on with your dress.

Veils are a beautiful accessory to add to your gown. If you really aren't too sure what you are looking for in a veil, let your consultant try a few on you while you're in your wedding dress. You'd be surprise at what style you'll end up love with your gown.
